If you’re unfamiliar, escape rooms are interactive experiences that transport you through situations you would see in movies and sometimes, history. The idea is to solve codes and puzzles to unlock a new level and get closer to solving your way out of a locked room. Mission Room Escape differentiates itself from other escape rooms by offering a “mechanical escape room” experience that heightens its immersiveness with lasers, special effects and automation.

Most of us met each other through computing, so we’ve got programming stuff sorted. We don’t have people in the walls, we don’t have people that need to run into the room and throw a smoke bomb for an effect or something. I’m really just interested in using scientific phenomena, and tech, and then of course some puzzles use none of that at all. I tried their new room, Crime Scene, on the weekend and it was pretty good. I really like the originality of the plot and the props/decor were very good. I really appreciated the homemade puzzles and everything worked perfectly. We escaped just in time but had heaps of hints (way more than we usually ask for and a little ashamed to admit!). They're trying out a new hint-giving process which I quite like.

The round of mini-golf also comes with cocktails for visitors on arrival but the good times don’t end here. After you’ve worked up an appetite tallying the scores, stone-baked pizzas will be waiting for you on the side. It’s a great way to blow off some steam and bond with your team.
